Therapy/Treatments

Topical diclofenac for dogs offers targeted pain and inflammation relief, particularly for arthritis and post-surgery eye issues, by inhibiting prostaglandins, with benefits including

fast absorption, reduced systemic side effects compared to oral NSAIDs, and effectiveness in reducing lameness and swelling  The key benefit here is the reduced need to oral NSAIDs protecting the liver and kidneys.

Adequan Canine's benefits for dogs with arthritis include slowing cartilage breakdown, reducing inflammation, improving joint lubrication, and promoting cartilage repair, making it an FDA-approved disease-modifying osteoarthritis drug (DMOAD) that treats the underlying disease, not just symptoms, helping dogs stay active longer by renewing joint components and slowing joint damage.

Chiropractic care for dogs offers benefits like improved mobility, reduced pain and inflammation, better nervous system function, and faster healing by addressing spinal misalignments, supporting conditions such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, and disc disease, and even helping with anxiety, improving overall quality of life, and enhancing athletic performance. It's a complementary, drug-free therapy that restores proper movement and nerve flow

Acupuncture for dogs offers benefits like chronic pain relief (arthritis, hip dysplasia), improved mobility, reduced inflammation, and support for neurological issues (nerve damage, paralysis) by boosting natural endorphins, increasing blood flow, and promoting healing

Enhanced Benefits of Electroacupuncture

  • Stronger and Longer-Lasting Analgesia: The electric current provides a more potent and sustained stimulation to acupoints than manual manipulation, leading to the increased release of the body's natural pain-relieving substances like endorphins and enkephalins.

  • Improved Neurological Function and Recovery: Electroacupuncture is especially helpful for neurological problems, such as paralysis, intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), and nerve injuries. Studies have shown that combining electroacupuncture with conventional treatment can lead to faster recovery of ambulation and deep pain sensation in dogs with spinal cord injuries.

  • Increased Blood Circulation: The electrical current helps to enhance blood flow to the targeted areas, which improves oxygenation and the removal of metabolic waste products, thus accelerating the healing process.

  • Effective Muscle Spasm Relief: The continuous stimulation is highly effective at releasing muscle spasms and addressing myofascial trigger points in the muscles, which contributes to pain relief and better mobility.

  • Amplified Anti-inflammatory Effects: Electroacupuncture stimulates the release of anti-inflammatory substances, helping to reduce inflammation associated with various chronic conditions.

Combining acupuncture with Vitamin B12, known as aquapuncture, the liquid B12 stays in the acupuncture point longer than a dry needle, extending the treatment's effects along with the natural benefits of B12 including nerve function and blood formation.

Red laser therapy  penetrates tissues, reaching mitochondria (cell powerhouses). This triggers a series of beneficial reactions, including increased ATP production, cell repair, tissue regeneration, improved blood flow to injured areas, delivering more oxygen and nutrients and reduced inflammation, leading to faster recovery and pain reduction by triggering endorphin release and blocks pain-causing chemicals, acting as natural painkillers.

Hydrotherapy improves mobility, strength and cardiovascular health due to the buoyancy of water lessening weight on joints, warm water increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation, water resistance increasing muscle tone and endurance,

water's resistance and sensory input enhance proprioception (body awareness) and stability, allows earlier return to function after surgery or injury by enabling movement without full weight-bearing.

Shock wave therapy stimulates the regeneration that helps the body heal. The treatment releases acoustic shockwaves on a cellular level. It accelerates healing by releasing proteins. The shock waves penetrate different tissue interface densities like cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. The waves’ energy fuses with the tissue and produces cellular and mechanical effects. The shock waves stimulate healing in the targeted tissue and relieve pain.

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy for dogs uses gentle electromagnetic pulses to boost cellular function, reducing pain and inflammation, accelerating healing, improving circulation, and increasing mobility for issues like arthritis, injuries, or surgery recovery, working by stimulating natural healing processes. Lowfrequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs) pass through tissues, influencing cell membrane activity, improving cell charge, nutrient absorption, and waste removal. It encourages the body's natural anti-inflammatory and healing responses, boosting circulation and oxygen delivery. Different frequencies target specific issues, with lower ones for chronic inflammation and higher for acute pain, while intensity adjusts for pet size.

Devine Weims takes extreme care in placing a puppy into its new home.  Each perspective puppy owner is required to complete the questionnaire in its entirety and we may have follow up questions.  Just as we want to ensure the puppy finds the perfect forever home, we also want each new puppy family to know that they're just that, we are available for advice and help for the life of the puppy, or just to receive any and all photos you want to share with us!

We do require a deposit to hold puppies once we have confirmed there is a puppy available for you.  This deposit is only refundable in the case that something were to happen and the puppy is no longer available, we are serious about our weims and we expect that our future puppy homes are as well, so once you decide to make a commitment we want to know that you are fully on board.

Please note that a completed questionnaire also does not guarantee a puppy, we do have a waitlist and spots open up usually because the timing is not right for the families on our list.  We always welcome applications to join our waitlist and you will be notified if puppies become availalble.
